I welcome you to Suresh Gyan Vihar University Alumni Association's new website! You belong to an association whose members are intellectually elite, culturally diverse, socially conscious, and professionally successful.

SGVUAA's goal is to help you remain connected with other members and with Suresh Gyan Vihar University Jaipur, our alma mater. I hope Suresh Gyan Vihar University Alumni Association serves as a catalyst in furthering your lifelong learning and professional development.

A continued connection with SGVU, regardless of the physical distance between you and your campus, will hopefully be professionally rewarding and also motivate you to help the mother-ship, SGVU Jaipur, to whom we all owe so much. I hope you will be inspired to participate in one or more of these worthy initiatives.

SGVUAA is a volunteer organization. I am proud of the association's leadership team comprising highly talented and dedicated Alumnus. They have continually surprised me by the amount of effort and enthusiasm in working on the association's activities. Over time, we will need new volunteers to pass the baton and rejuvenate the association with new ideas, new vision, and new beginnings!

We at your alma mater have great pleasure to be in touch with you. For both of us, it is nostalgic memories down the lane. We do hope you are making steady and significant progress in your professional and social life. You might have changed career path, got a promotion, shifted your place – city / country of work and residence, got married, and blessed with off springs, just to mention a few mile stone in one’s life.

We have now a separate Alumni centre located in Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur. Welcome.

Just to keep you informed, we append the list of some significant steps we have initiated / taken during 2010 – 11, which we hope, will make you feel proud.

We have also launched a website for Alumni to freely interact and exchange views and opinions. You know the family is more than 1000 times strong and growing stronger. This growth in no small measure is because of you – the pioneers who have carried the flag of Vel Tech to the nook and corner of the globe. While we hold the hands of the present day students to cheer up and dream, we proudly point our index finger at you as proof.

What is 'Back to SGVU’?

SGVU Alumni and SGVU bring to you a unique and fulfilling way to give back to your alma mater. 'Back to SGVU' is an effort by the SGVU Campus Relations Team to connect alumni with the SGVU campuses to have a sabbatical at SGVU, Jaipur. We have to warn you that all the nostalgia and being around students can make you feel much younger than you are.

Why should you participate?

Teaching, as they say, is the best way to give back to the society. The Sabbatical program will provide you the perfect opportunity and chance to give back to your alma-mater by teaching, mentoring and coaching young and energized students in the SGVU. Even if you are not a part of academia, you can be a part of this program to impart industrial knowledge to the students and direct them, motivate them and mould them into the leaders and experts that they are meant to be.

Who should participate?

SGVU alumni with over 2 years of experience in teaching/R&D/industry and having a passion for teaching should apply for the program.

What is in store for you?

Nostalgia - months of it!!! With SGVU Alumni giving you an environment to feel at home, you can relieve the old days in the familiar atmospheres of the SGVU campus.
Facilities- You would be enjoying the Visiting faculty status along with basic facilities being provided. The flexibilities and opportunities are immense; it is for you to have the experience of a lifetime.

Let’s Promote SGVU, Jaipur

'Let's Promote SGVU-Jaipur' initiative, started last year as a casual discussion in SGVU Alumni mailers amidst growing concerns on the popularity of SGVU among the student community. We (the students and alumni) wanted SGVU and its campus to be the first choice for an engineering and science aspirant. Besides this, the unique features and flexibilities offered at SGVU-Jaipur are often not clear to many students who want to shape their future at SGVU campus.
